wait for me, 2022

Wait For Me is about the fear of childhood best friends growing apart from each other. It highlights the bittersweetness of wanting the best for the person that you love while understanding that their best life may not include you.

“Maybe if I grow faster, or you grow slower, we can hold hands again.”

Daisy and Marigold were planted in the same garden; budded together, but blossomed apart. This song acts as a love/goodbye letter from Daisy to Marigold, trying to be as supportive as they can while being wrecked by the realization that this may be where their lives diverge.

Received an Honorable Mention, Skidmore College
